Oxygen OS 11 Update Starts Rolling out to OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro

OnePlus fulfilled their promise and has started rolling out the OxygenOS 11 stable update based on Android 11 to the OnePlus 8 series. OnePlus 6 and 6T will be updated to Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 in addition to OnePlus' 2019 phones.

This is the list of phones getting Oxygen OS 11 update -

1. OnePlus 6 & 6T

2. OnePlus 7, 7T, OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition & 7 Pro

3. OnePlus Nords

4. OnePlus 8, 8Pro & 8T

What's New?

OxygenOS 11, for those unaware, features a major visual revamp. The text has been moved to the top and interactive areas to the bottom – just like One UI. You see this change applied across the Settings, native phone, and gallery app. The update brings the much-requested Always-on Display, Zen Mode 2.0, an enhanced dark mode, and more.

The OnePlus 6 and 6T are still going strong in 2020, so it's great to see both phones on the list. The devices debuted with Android 8.1 Oreo and are in line to get their third platform update with Android 11.

So, OnePlus will be giving 3 years of updates just like Pixel Phones

How to Update to OS 11?

As of October 10, the stable OxygenOS 11 update based on Android 11 is rolling out to the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. If you're using either device, you will be able to install the OTA update by going into your phone's settings.
