Recently, Reliance had their Annual General Meeting on Wednesday where they discussed Jio's future plans, In which they mostly talked about bringing 5G in India with the help of Google their new Investor. Currently, China is heavily investing in 5G ~roughly $5 billion and building thousands of 5G towers every day.
It took 15 years for 4G to arrive in India but now things have changed there is a lot of competitions among the internet service providers so we can expect 5G to become common after 4-5 years.
To make it cheap Google and Jio partnered to make affordable 5G phones.
With all the benefits of fast and reliable internet, there are also faults with 5G like Tower range is relatively is less than 4G, Currently, phones which support 5G connectivity get hot which decreases their performance but these issues can be fixed in the long run.
